Cayuse Coyote and the Portal of Time is a trilogy, set in the land of Borealis.

Book Two: The Portal of Time
Cayuse Coyote and her companions continue to follow the clues hidden in the Legend of BoJo. Seeking to find the fabled Portal of Time before the Brotherhood of the Web can, they travel north from Bealah into the wilds of the Quillshoot and Cheawa homelands. Cayuse is stunned to discover that the legends and prophecies of these people not only fortold her quest, but also reveal why the last remaing Portal of Time must be destroyed.

Book Three: The Crystal Keys
Cayuse's party has found the Portal of Time, as well as two of the five Crystal Keys needed to unlock it. Now the race is on to locate the remaining keys. When the Brotherhood's Web Master procures the fifth key, Cayuse's party must journey south to exotic Tak Makan for the final showdown.

BACKGROUND:
When the Ancients discovered that every living thing had a unique harmonic frequency that differed according to where and when it existed, they unlocked the secret of time travel. But the Ancients, for all their wonderful science and wisdom, had the frailties associated with humanity. The hunger for power drove some to claim the knowledge of Time Portals for their own.  War broke out and the civilization descended into a spiral of self-destruction.

Centuries later, the Portals were rediscovered and history began to repeat itself. The Brotherhood of the Web sought the power to dominate the world, and the Resistance stubbornly fought them. The struggle continued until there was but one Portal remaining. As factions arose within the Brotherhood to claim it, the Resistance managed to collect the five keys needed to destroy it.

Hunted like animals by the ruthless Brotherhood, the surviving members of the Resistance were forced to flee. They separated and then hid the keys to prevent them from falling into the hands of the Brotherhood.

Time passes and the teachings of the Ancients becomes legend, the struggle of the Resistance folktale and song. A small brown dog by the name of Cayuse Coyote accidentally discovers that there is a curious similarity to some of the folk tales and legends. She joins with a male dog named Wiener to pursue the truth behind the canine Legend of BoJo. As they travel throughout the land of Borealis, they bring together the Temple of Light, the Dwarven race, and two native tribes--the Quillshoot and the Cheawa.

The more they learn, the more they realize their role in this epic clash between good and evil. They are to find the five keys and reunite the peoples who hold them. Only a reunification of the old Resistance can save the land from the evil that is now brewing in Bealah...the rebirth of the Brotherhood of the Web.
